JTPG Meeting
October 9 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
The Joint Transportation Planning Group (JTPG) is the advisory body to the Southeastern Massachusetts Metropolitan Planning Organization (SMMPO). The JTPG shares responsibility in determining how to allocate federal funds for transit, roadway, bicycle, and pedestrian projects in Southeastern MA in order to make recommendations to the SMMPO. It is also the regional forum for public involvement for all issues pertaining to transportation in southeastern Massachusetts and a space for sharing announcements about funding opportunities, technical assistance, and project updates and concerns.
Please join us for a hybrid meeting of the Joint Transportation Planning Group (JTPG). You are welcome to attend at the SRPEDD office (88 Broadway, Taunton) or via ZOOM if preferred.
The agenda and draft meeting minutes are attached for your review. Staff will present on the draft 2024 Regional Pedestrian Plan and draft Route 28 (Cushman Street, Middleborough to Charlotte Furnace Road, Wareham) Corridor Study in addition to discussing MassDOT’s new initiative to distribute RRFB assemblies to communities free of charge.
