Under the supervision of the Comprehensive Planning Manager, with potential tasks also to be completed for the Transportation Planning Manager, the Environmental Planning Manager, and Departmental Directors, the Senior Comprehensive Planner applies their technical expertise, knowledge of zoning, public policy, and planning best practices to the diverse work program of a busy and growing Regional Planning Agency.

Posted at the Senior Planner (P3-P5) level, this position is designed for a serious candidate with real-world planning experience in the  transit or transportation planning field after graduating with their MA/MS in the field of urban planning, regional planning, civil engineering, or a related field.

Senior Transportation Planner

SRPEDD’s Transportation Department is seeking a proven self starter to advance our work program, contribute to agency goals, and engage in the work of multimodal transportation across Southeastern Massachusetts. Posted at the Senior Planner (P3-P5) level, this position is designed for a serious candidate with real-world planning experience in the field after graduating with their MA/MS in the field of urban planning, regional planning, transportation planning, civil engineering, public policy or a related field. For this position, we are looking for someone with strong interest in the field of transportation planning but experience does not need to be directly related to transportation.
