Regional Corridor Study Projects

Route 28 Corridor Study

The Route 28 Corridor Study will examine opportunities for multi-modal transportation improvements and land use for the communities of Middleborough, Rochester and Wareham.

Project Background

SRPEDD is working with the towns of Middleborough, Rochester, and Wareham to create a transportation and land use development plan for the Route 28 Corridor between Cushman Street in Middleborough to Charlotte Furnace Road in Wareham. This study was initiated by the town of Rochester with the aim of deepening connections between the neighboring towns of Middleborough and Wareham through land use and transportation decisions. This study seeks to improve transportation connections for all modes on the corridor and identify potential land uses along the corridor that are consistent with this goal.

This webpage will be your source for all information about the Corridor Study, notices of upcoming workshops or events, and other ways to participate. We will keep this site updated as the planning process progresses, so please plan on checking back in with us!
