Lauren joins the SRPEDD team in 2022 as a recent graduate from Westfield State University. With a passion for the environment, Lauren focused her studies on understanding the complexity of promoting environmental sustainability within human systems. By double majoring in Regional Planning and Environmental Science during her time at Westfield, Lauren was able to cover a vast array of topics in the Environmental Planning field, including things such as: community planning, geographic information systems (GIS), land use and resource planning, restoration ecology, and data analysis. As a new graduate, Lauren hopes to assist in creating a sustainable future with the SRPEDD community for many generations to come.

Audrey joined the SRPEDD environmental team in March 2024. She is from Sarasota, Florida, a graduate of the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with a BS in Sustainability, and a graduate of the University of Texas-Austin (Hook ’em horns!) with MS Sustainable Design and MS Community & Regional Planning. As a transplant Floridian, her passion lives in coastal resilience, vulnerability and mitigation studies, environmental justice, and mapping of all kinds.

Her expertise includes working with ESRI’s ArcGIS, data analysis, community engagement, sustainable building practices, and regional/community policy. Audrey is a LEED Green Associate and an active member of the American Planning Association. She has worked at state-wide, rural/local, and educational institutions within Texas and Florida, with backgrounds in both public and non-profit sectors of grant management, energy auditing, LEED accreditations, comprehensive planning, redevelopment districts, and suitability analysis. She will continue to do work in Green Communities, hazard mitigation resiliency plans, and much more for SRPEDD.

While relocating to a much, much chillier Providence, Rhode Island for this position, she also enjoys rowing, hiking, collecting maps, and sewing.

Sean Hilton joined SRPEDD in 2021. Sean has worked on several projects during his previous planning experience ranging from main street redesigns, evaluating the mobility of historic districts, and land use scenario planning for growing municipalities.

With a background in transportation and land use planning, Sean has participated in the transportation planning process at SRPEDD through development of the Freight Action Plan, Congestion Management Plan, As-Built Studies, and continued assistance with the development of other transportation studies.

Sean received his B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from St. Michael’s College and an M.S. in Urban and Regional Planning from The University of Iowa with concentrations in transportation planning and land use/environmental planning.

Kevin joined SRPEDD in 2017 as a Homeland Security Intern after graduating from Bridgewater State University with a BA in Sociology. Before working at SRPEDD, Kevin served in the United States Coast Guard, and ran Force 4 Photography, an Aerial and 360° Photography company.
After coming aboard full-time, Kevin started SRPEDD’s Drone Program and enjoys splitting his time between Homeland Security, Comprehensive Planning, and Transportation projects.

Kevin volunteers his time for the American Red Cross as Massachusetts Exercise Lead, and Northeast Division GIS Team Lead. He has deployed for several recent disasters, notably Hurricane Harvey in Houston, TX, and the historic flooding in 2019 in Nebraska.
His favorite work at SRPEDD are projects that let him get outside and fly the drone, projects that make the region safer and more prepared to respond to a disaster, and anything that lets him stretch the exercise-design portion of his brain.

While at Bridgewater State University Joe worked as an intern in the Transportation Department during the summer doing data collection and GIS work before continuing his internship in the Homeland Security Department during his last semester of college. During his internship in Homeland Security Joe created the map for the Southeast Regional Homeland Security Advisory Council of important inventory items stored in the 97 communities under the council’s jurisdiction that would be used by police and firemen in emergency response situations. After graduating with a degree in Environmental Planning and Conservation, Joe started work full time at SRPEDD as Homeland Security Specialist. Joe also spends time working on Environmental Planning projects.

Living in Falmouth, Joe is a passionate conservationist and an avid outdoorsman and spends most of his free time fishing and hunting. Joe volunteers with the Association to Preserve Cape Cod as a herring monitor for the Connamessett River.

Chris joined SRPEDD in February of 2023 as a Senior Comprehensive Planner. His background in municipal project management, grants management, and sustainability.

Prior to his work at SRPEDD, Chris was a Budget/Management Analyst for the Town of Norwood and – prior to that – a Management Fellow. There he worked extensively using data to help inform decision-making regarding municipal budgeting for the Town. Prior to this, Chris was an intern at SRPEDD’s sister agency, the Cape Cod Commission. There he contributed to help gain a greater understanding of the impacts municipal development of harbor districts has on towns.

Chris has a background in environmental policy and anthropology, including climate change/justice and policy analysis. He received his MPA and BA (in History) from Bridgewater State University. Chris is an avid hiker and reader.

Laura is passionate about sustainability and using data to make informed decisions about our built environment. She brings a strong background in statistics, programming and creative design. After graduating Northeastern University with a Master’s in Geospatial Services, she joined SRPEDD as a Senior GIS and Data Planner.

Throughout her academic journey, Laura has been interested in applying and improving her programmatic skills to find interdisciplinary solutions. During her time at the Barnegat Bay Partnership, she used habitat mapping to contribute to wetlands conservation efforts in New Jersey. Prior to that, she worked at Apprentice Learning, a Boston-based school program where she realized the importance of keeping the community at the heart of policy and planning decisions. She believes that a well-planned city is a balancing act between often competing priorities and hopes to use her analytical skills to help find that balance.

Passionate about art and design from youth, Danyel was struck by the field of Urban Planning as a way to meaningfully channel his creativity. After graduating from Rutgers University with a B.S. in Urban Planning and Design, Danyel joined the SRPEDD team in early 2023 as an Urban Design Planner.

With a background in traditional illustration and digital artwork, Danyel worked as a Graphic Designer for several years during his college tenure. Danyel has a strong belief that the planning discipline is at its greatest when it captures the imagination and inherent curiosity of both planners and the communities they serve, and visual design is a tremendous part of that goal.

Danyel is thrilled by the prospect of creating planning work that not only informs the populace, but gets people genuinely excited about what their communities can become.

Aubrey joined SRPEDD in early 2024 as a part-time Comprehensive Planner with a background in environmental science, data science, and policy. Following completion of his BA in Environmental Analysis and Policy from Boston University, Aubrey will be joining SRPEDD in a full-time position.

Aubrey has developed an in-depth understanding of energy systems, urban design, sustainable development, and policy development through his studies. Before joining SRPEDD, Aubrey was an intern with the National Parks Service LWCF Grant Compliance Division, where he worked with a team that ensured regulatory compliance for protected lands.

After moving from rural Maine to the Boston metropolitan area for school, Aubrey discovered the possibilities of urban design and policy reform. He is driven by his passion for helping people – and Aubrey believes that the best way to achieve this is at a structural level.

Kaitlin is a member of the American Connection Corps, an AmeriCorps program, and is serving as the Regional Broadband Coordinator at SRPEDD. Kaitlin holds a Bachelor of Science in History and Political Science from Suffolk University. She is excited to tackle the issues of broadband, digital equity, digital literacy, and bridging the digital divide in southeastern Massachusetts. She is particularly passionate about bridging the digital divide as her household did not have internet or a computer until she was in the eighth grade. In her free time, she enjoys visiting museums, reading, and thrift shopping.
