Danica Belknap, CC-P
Environmental Planning Manager
Danica joins the SRPEDD team with years of experience coordinating regional habitat restoration and watershed planning efforts, in both New York City and Massachusetts. With a background in coastal ecology, she entered the planning world after assisting communities in prioritizing and implementing restoration projects and coming to realize the important role that land use planning plays in habitat protection. She connects communities with tools and resources, as well as with each other, to plan for strategic land protection and implement low impact development strategies. She is a co-coordinator of the Resilient Taunton Watershed Network, supporting regional collaboration and partnership to advance watershed planning efforts.
Danica assists communities in Southeastern Massachusetts to achieve their environmental preservation goals, with a focus on proactive land use planning, low impact development, green infrastructure, and bylaw and regulatory review. Her goal is to help communities tap into the value of nature to meet their social, economic, and housing goals, in order to achieve healthy, sustainable, equitable, and resilient communities.
