Cecelia Lagomarsino
Environmental Planner
After interning in both the Comprehensive and Environmental departments, Cece started as a full-time Environmental Planner in the fall of 2024. Cece earned BAs in Environmental Analysis and Policy and Economics from Boston University, and while at school, she developed an interest in planning.
Over the course of her degrees, Cece gained experience in econometric modeling, GIS and remote sensing, conservation, and environmental justice to deepen her experience in the planning field. Before SRPEDD, Cece interned at several different organizations in Boston, including MassDEP, Boston University, and Speak for the Trees.
Cece believes data is an important asset for pursuing comprehensive climate adaptation and mitigation and hopes to use her knowledge of GIS to help communities make their planning more resilient in the face of climate change. She is particularly interested in the dynamics between heat islands and public health and hopes to develop this interest further during her time at SRPEDD.
