Cecelia Lagomarsino

Cece joined SRPEDD as a Comprehensive Planning and Communications Intern in the summer of 2024 after graduating from Boston University with BAs in Environmental Analysis and Policy and Economics. Cece cites the diversity and range of projects as well as the professionalism and care SRPEDD applies to planning to be what interested her in applying for the summer internship; she hopes to foster this same professionalism and care in her work for SRPEDD this summer and get a better understanding of current planning needs and environmental concerns in the region.

Cece has always been interested in planning, and has gained experience in econometric modeling, GIS and remote sensing, conservation, and environmental justice to further her engagement in the field. Before SRPEDD, Cece was an intern for MassDEP’s municipal waste reduction branch where she worked on RecycleSmart and Beyond the Bin programming.

Cece believes data is an important asset for pursuing comprehensive climate adaptation and mitigation and hopes to use her knowledge of GIS to help communities make their planning more resilient in the face of climate change.
