Middleborough Open Space & Recreation Planning

SRPEDD works with towns and other organizations to support the realization of high quality open space and recreation facilities.

MEET YOUR PLAN!

Middleborough's Plan has received final approval!

The Massachusetts Division of Conservation Services (DCS) provided final approval to Middleborough's Open Space and Recreation Plan (OSRP) on January 29, 2025. In April 2025, the DCS updated the Open Space and Recreation Planners Workbook. This update extended the lifespan of OSRP's from a 7-year Action Plan to a 10-year Action Plan, thereby allowing for an additional 3 years of DCS grant funding eligibility.

After amending the previously approved plan to reflect a 10-year timeline, the DCS approved Middleborough's updated OSRP on September 24, 2025. Enabling the Town of Middleborough to be eligible for DCS grants through June 2034. The extended 2024 - 2034 Middleborough OSRP can be found below.
