This project is made possible by FY21 DLTA Funding, SRPEDD, and the Fairhaven Economic Development Committee.
Based on a recent update to the 2017 Fairhaven Economic Development Plan, SRPEDD and the Town of Fairhaven explore development scenarios at the Alden Road, Route 6, and Route 240 intersection. These scenarios draw from various take-aways and build on aspects of Fairhaven's existing planning with both economic development in mind.
Considering the industries that offer the greatest opportunity in the local market, this study will assess different facility demands, site designs, and benefits/costs to enable effective marketing to prospective investors and developers. It also helps the Economic Development Committee determine what public infrastructure investments and policy initiatives it should pursue to achieve the desired economic outcomes.
