Do you or someone you know struggle with accessing the internet? Is your internet reliable and affordable? Do you have access to a working device or router? Are you able to navigate the internet to meaningfully participate in modern-day life? If your answer to any of these questions is no, we want to hear from you!

The Town of Swansea is working with SRPEDD to create a Municipal Digital Equity Plan. This plan will analyze the current state of internet access and digital equity in Swansea and provide recommendations for the town to address underserved populations in town to bridge the digital gaps.

What is Digital Equity?

According to National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA) digital equity is a condition in which all individuals and communities have the information technology capacity needed for full participation in our society, democracy, and economy. We want to ensure everyone in Swansea – seniors, veterans, and those in need – has access to meaningfully participate in modern-day society!

A key part of this plan is input from Swansea community members.

1. Taking the Digital Equity Survey here; or
2. Stopping by the Swansea Digital Equity Workshop on Thursday September 26^th, from 6-8pm at the First Congregational Church.
