SRPEDD is working with our local, regional and statewide partners to test our Regional Evacuation Routes.
Our recently completed Southeastern Massachusetts Regional Evacuation Route Study highlighted the significant work our municipal partners have done within their own borders and regionalizes it to allow for shared resources and mitigation of potential obstacles. The plan includes maps of regional evacuation routes, best practices and resources for our communities, and recommended action steps to improve communication and egress in the event of an emergency.
Currently we are working with our reginal partners to test planning assumptions and designated routing through the use of tabletop exercises. If you have comments or question about the plan or exercises please contact Kevin Ham at kham@srpedd.org.
