Parking & Transportation Demand Management
Improving parking policies and implementing Transportation Demand Management (TDM) strategies can enable your community to reduce vehicle congestion, support small businesses, improve land use, meet economic development goals, and create more people-friendly places in your community.
Phase 2 of the SRPEDD Regional Parking Utilization Assessment begins October 1, 2025. This phase will focus on continued data collection on an as-needed basis, and providing municipal technical assistance towards developing improved parking policies and implementing TDM strategies. Eligibility for Phase 2 is open to all SRPEDD communities.
Requests for assistance with parking and transportation demand management can be submitted through our SRPEDD Community Technical Assistance webpage. If you aren't sure what TDM strategy may be the right fit for your community, please contact us for an initial discussion and consultation prior to submitting a technical assistance request.
Examples of technical assistance could include assistance with parking data collection, analysis of existing and future parking needs, development of a parking management plan or parking benefit district, creation of a bicycle and pedestrian network plan, public transit improvements in coordination with SRTA or GATRA, and any number of other similar requests that address improving mobility for a downtown or a town/village center.
