SCBA Feasibility Study

In 2021 and 2022, SRPEDD assisted the South Coast Bikeway Alliance (SCBA) in completing a feasibility study to close a gap in the South Coast Bikeway between Fall River, Westport, Dartmouth, and New Bedford.

Welcome to the SCBA Feasibility Study Page

Connecting the South Coast Bikeway between Fall River, Westport, Dartmouth, and New Bedford has long been a priority of the South Coast Bikeway Alliance (SCBA) and SRPEDD. This partnership and study allowed us to take an in depth look at all the options to find the best possible route. Public feedback was combined with data, maps, and other information to evaluate the best possible routes to fill the gap in the bikeway.

The South Coast Bikeway Alliance and the communities of Westport, Dartmouth and New Bedford worked with SRPEDD to conduct a Feasibility Study to help guide the decision making for this important bikeway routing choice. Below you will find interactive maps and resources from public workshops held during the study process. The final Phase 2 Feasibility Study Report is now available.
