SRPEDD utilizes automated bicycle and pedestrian counters to help communities gather data to better monitor, maintain, and prioritize improvements to their sidewalks, crosswalks, paths, and trail networks.

SRPEDD is here to help with your bicycle and pedestrian counting needs. Our infrared bicycle and pedestrian counters can be placed discretely along paths and sidewalks. Municipalities interested in counts at specific locations can request counter placement through our Community Technical Assistance Request Form or by contacting program staff listed above. A sample of data retrieved from a counter on the Mattapoisett Rail Trail can be found in the next section.
