SMMPO Meeting

January 20 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Southeastern Massachusetts Metropolitan Planning Organization (SMMPO) is responsible for conducting the federally required metropolitan transportation planning process for the 27 communities that comprise Southeastern Massachusetts. The SMMPO develops a vision for transportation in the region and decides how to allocate federal and state transportation funds to transportation programs and projects that improve roadway, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian infrastructure.

Please join us for a meeting of the Southeastern Massachusetts Metropolitan Planning Organization (SMMPO) at 1:00 PM.

Meeting ID: 863 6463 3280
Passcode: 439672

The agenda, draft meeting minutes, and additional materials are attached for your review. We will be voting on endorsing Critical Rural and Urban Freight Corridors in the region and

timely roadway project amendments to the FFY2026-2030 TIP, which includes cost changes and year changes for several state-funded TIP projects. We’ll also have a presentation about the ‘advance construction’ mechanism sometimes used for TIP projects.

SMMPO members: Please respond to this invitation if you plan on attending so we can plan for a quorum. If you are unable to attend, you may send a designee to the meeting who is directly responsible and accountable to you. The designee may vote only with written and signed authorization from the SMMPO member provided by a letter before or at the time of the meeting.

Upon request, every effort will be made to provide reasonable accommodation, including language assistance and/or auxiliary aids and services free of charge. Please contact SRPEDD’s Title VI Coordinator by email at aduarte@srpedd.org. Requests should be made as soon as possible prior to the meeting.
