The Southeastern Massachusetts Metropolitan Planning Organization (SMMPO) is responsible for conducting the federally required metropolitan transportation planning process for the 27 communities that comprise Southeastern Massachusetts. The SMMPO develops a vision for transportation in the region and decides how to allocate federal and state transportation funds to transportation programs and projects that improve roadway, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian infrastructure.

We will be voting on endorsement of the FFY2026-2030 TIP (link here) and Amendments to the FFY2025-29 TIP, presenting/voting on the draft staff Work Plan for FY2026 (link here), presenting/voting on the draft SMMPO SS4A Regional Safety Action Plan (link here), and voting on Self-Certification of the SMMPO Transportation Planning process.
