The Joint Transportation Planning Group (JTPG) is the advisory body to the Southeastern Massachusetts Metropolitan Planning Organization (SMMPO). The JTPG shares responsibility in determining how to allocate federal funds for transit, roadway, bicycle, and pedestrian projects in Southeastern MA in order to make recommendations to the SMMPO. It is also the regional forum for public involvement for all issues pertaining to transportation in southeastern Massachusetts and a space for sharing announcements about funding opportunities, technical assistance, and project updates and concerns.

Please join SRPEDD for a meeting of the Joint Transportation Planning Group (JTPG) on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM.

This month we will be holding our JTPG meeting in Middleborough at the Town Hall Select Board Room at 10 Nickerson Ave (1st floor). We will meet there at 1:00 PM and then head to John Glass Jr. Square for a site visit of this TIP project completed in 2021 at Center Street at Station Street and Everett Street at High Street. We will then head back to the Town Hall for our regularly scheduled meeting at 2:00 PM. Sandwiches and refreshments will be provided.

The agenda and meeting minutes are attached for your review. We will be holding annual JTPG officer elections, and discussing & voting on recommending the FY2026 UPWP staff work plan and SS4A Regional Safety Action Plan to the SMMPO for endorsement.

This meeting will have a hybrid option. We encourage you to attend onsite but if you are unable, Zoom meeting details and instructions will be provided for participants who need to connect to the meeting through a computer, smart phone or regular telephone.
