The Joint Transportation Planning Group (JTPG) is the advisory body to the Southeastern Massachusetts Metropolitan Planning Organization (SMMPO). The JTPG shares responsibility in determining how to allocate federal funds for transit, roadway, bicycle, and pedestrian projects in Southeastern MA in order to make recommendations to the SMMPO. It is also the regional forum for public involvement for all issues pertaining to transportation in southeastern Massachusetts and a space for sharing announcements about funding opportunities, technical assistance, and project updates and concerns.

Please join us for a hybrid meeting of the Joint Transportation Planning Group (JTPG). You are welcome to attend at the SRPEDD office (88 Broadway, Taunton) or via ZOOM if preferred. The agenda, draft meeting minutes and other materials are attached for your review. We will continue with presentations on TIP projects programmed for 2026-2029, discuss the list (see attached) of local resilience projects to include in the Statewide Resilience Improvement Plan and PROTECT grant consideration, and discuss requests for projects and technical assistance to include in our FY2026 workplan.

NOTE : Due to past Zoom meeting interruptions and security incidents, JTPG meetings will be set up in the Zoom webinar structure for the time being. This means that: if you are a voting member of the JTPG OR are on the regular mailing list for JTPG invites and communications, you will receive a separate email with your link to the Zoom meeting. This email will look like the image below and will be unique for each person. It will state that you are invited to be a Panelist, which means you are simply a full participant in the meeting – as opposed to being an Attendee which is a view-only participant who can only be unmuted by a host. Folks who are not JTPG voting members or not on the regular JTPG mailing list will need to register for the meeting as an Attendee using the registration link on the SRPEDD website and attached agenda.
