About the Energy Leadership Exchange
The Southeast Regional Energy Leadership Exchange is a group dedicated to find pathways to energy reduction solutions as aligned with the DOER's Green Communities goals of fostering sustainability by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, minimizing reliance on fossil fuels, and cutting energy costs. This quarterly exchange is a meeting held to inform the Southeast Region of grant opportunities, procedures and policies from the state, provide a space for policymakers, project managers of case studies, and other experts to come and talk about greenhouse gas reduction related projects, and hold a space for our communities to discuss and collaborate on project or policy ideas and regional collaboration. An important aspect of this group is to support our Municipal Light Plants in how to navigate energy reduction or fossil fuel alternatives for their communities where they are the energy supplier. Any municipal-based professional in the energy or planning space is welcomed to apply to be apart of the exchange.
