Funded in part locally and through the District Technical Assistance (DLTA) Program this study will explore redevelopment potential in the Greater New Bedford Regional Refuse District. This effort will produce new commercial developments and open space, while insulating nearby neighborhoods from growing impacts.

Existing conditions will reveal the land use, zoning, and environmental trends in Dartmouth and Freetown. This assessment will consider the challenges to effecting change in a way that improves the experience for residents and enhances its economic power.
SRPEDD will use previous and ongoing planning efforts to establish context for the study. The project team will review the following documents and incorporate relevant goals and further strategy implementation where applicable.
