Project Background and Approach
The Town of Dighton applied for and received funding from the Commonwealth's Community Onestop for Growth and SRPEDD's District Local Technical Assistance (DLTA) Program to study active connections between local resources along the stretch of Route 138 that runs through Town and along the Taunton River.
Through this study, the Town will inventory Dighton's wealth of local resources to develop a comprehensive understanding of how residents would like to highlight and improve connections between these locations, and further, how to leverage these resources and achieve shared local goals and aspirations.
The final product will be a document visualizing and describing current and potential connections; an overview of local priorities, along with strategies to make progress towards these goals; and a summary of implementation steps, including available funding sources, timelines, and success stories from other communities to help Dighton achieve its aspirations.
