Welcome to the Plymouth County Regional Digital Equity Plan! We are working on making the internet accessible for all in Middleborough, Lakeville, and Carver!

Do you or someone you know struggle with accessing the internet? Is your internet reliable and affordable? Do you have access to a working device or router? Are you able to navigate the internet to meaningfully participate in modern day life? If your answer to any of these questions is no, we want to hear from you!
The Towns of Middleborough, Lakeville, and Carver are working with SRPEDD to create a Regional Digital Equity Plan. This plan will analyze the current state of internet access and digital equity in the area and provide recommendations for the towns to address underserved populations in town to bridge the digital equity gaps.
According to National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA) digital equity is a condition in which all individuals and communities have the information technology capacity needed for full participation in our society, democracy, and economy. We want to ensure everyone in this area, seniors, veterans, and others in need, have access to meaningfully participate in modern day society!
A key part of this plan is input from community members.

The best way to get involved with the Municipal Digital Equity Plan is to participate in MBI's Digital Equity Survey and attend the planning workshop or charrette in the summer. MBI works closely with the Administration, the state legislature, municipalities, broadband service providers, and other key stakeholders to bridge the digital divide in Massachusetts. The Commonwealth created the MBI as a division of the MassTech Collaborative when signing the Broadband Act into law in August 2008. Learn more at their website.
