We are a public agency created in 1968 under Massachusetts state law Chapter 40B, Sections 9-19.,
We are governed by a Commission comprised oflocal officials and delegates representing mayors, selectmen, planningboards and at-large members.
The Commission employs a professional staff of planners, computer modelers,demographers and support staff. Federal Transportation grants provide about 75% of our budget, with the balance from state and local contracts and an
assessment on member cities and towns.
