FFY2019-2023 TIP Proposed Amendment Public Comment Period & Meeting

SRPEDD Announces a 21-day Public Comment Period and Public Meeting for an amendment to the FFY2019 year of the FFY2019-2023 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) concerning SRTA & GATRA transit funding.

January 15, 2018 – There is a proposed amendment to the FFY2019 year of the FFY2019-2023 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) concerning transit funding. Several projects have been awarded, including $82,000 in federal grant funds and $153,840 in state grant funds to GATRA and $404,800 in state grant funds to SRTA.

The TIP is the programming document listing all federally funded road and bridge projects in the region and all transit projects for both the Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) and the Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority (GATRA). The TIP lists all projects in the 27 SRPEDD communities to be funded through the year 2023.

A public meeting to hear comments and concerns on these amendments will be held at SRPEDD, located at 88 Broadway, Taunton, MA on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 4 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend, ask questions and offer comments to the amendments.

The proposed amended TIP items can be found on SRPEDD’s website at www.srpedd.org for review. The amendments will become final on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 when approved by the SMMPO at the next meeting. Comments are encouraged and may be offered by a variety of methods including:
