Development District
SRPEDD is a regional planning agency serving 27 cities and towns in
Southeastern Massachusetts. SRPEDD provides assistance to these
communities by undertaking studies, making recommendations and
advising in the areas of physical, social and economic development.
We were created under Massachusetts State Law and are
governed by a
Commission of local officials and citizens representing
the area's mayors, selectmen, planning boards and at-large members.
Our region is a mix of urban, suburban, and rural landscapes
with a population of over 600,000 in 808 square miles.
The Taunton River Basin and Buzzards Bay are the dominant
natural features of the region.
